This is such a great song. The Original by The Beatles was great too, with all the crying effects on the guitar. This version is more subtle and melodic, but just as fantastic. The numbers above the Tab lines are to help you keep the beat when you are playing. Notes under the numbers are to be played on the beat, and notes in between the numbers are to be played off the beat. This is how all standard notation works, though in most cases the numbers aren't there! NB: When you come across the asterix (*) on the second line, play this: 1 2 3 4 --------5h6p5-----| ------------------| I know it usually means a harmonic, but here it means a quick hammeron followed by a pulloff (an upper mordent in musical terms). I used the asterix to save space and to keep the beats even on the page. Everything else is as usual, h meaning hammeron, p meaning pulloff. Also when you come to the end of the verse and the chorus, you will come across something like this: F (Dshape). This means play an F Chord, but with a D Barre chord shape. This is how it sounds in the song. Em(Am) means exactly the same thing; play the Em Chord with an Am Barre Chord shape.
